Starmakers was born from wanting to make a Stage School more accessible to children who don’t want the pressure of auditions, entering competitions or doing exams.
Starmakers is a place where children don’t have to try to be better than everyone else so that they stand out in the crowd.
Starmakers is about giving all children the opportunity to Sing, Dance and Perform to some of their favourite songs in a relaxed and fun environment whilst helping them to ‘Find the Star Inside’, where they get to help choose what we do, how we do it and how long we do it for.

Rockstar Choir
Here at Starmakers we recognise the need to offer something for everyone.
Not everyone wants to dance or act but they may have a genuine love for singing.
It has also come to our attention that outside of school there are no choirs just for Children.
So, we have decided to start a new choir. Not just any choir though – the ‘ROCK STAR CHOIR’
Singing music from Musical Theatre through to modern Pop and Rock, working on harmonies and group singing, it promises to be the most exciting new group to arrive in Harrogate.
So, do you want to be a part of it? We’d love you to join us and become part of what we hope will become the biggest choir across the area.
The choir will run on Monday Evenings at West Park Church Hall, Raglan Street, Harrogate
8 – 11 years: 4.45 – 5.45pm
12 – 16 years: 7.45 – 9.15pm
Starting 12th September 2011
Holiday Clubs
Starmakers run holiday clubs during the summer holidays for children aged 6 – 14 years.
Based in the Dance Studio at Harrogate High School each club runs over a 1 week period and is fun packed ending with a show in front of family and friends
The aim of the holiday clubs is for children to come along and learn the song and a dance routine to a selection of their favourite songs from some of their favourite shows / films
On the final day of each week a professional recording studio will attend to record the children onto a CD
The week long clubs are also about bringing all children of all abilities together and allowing them the freedom to learn from one another in a non pressurised environment where everyone is treated as equal
